On a typical Friday night you are…

3 August, 2009

… at the Science Gallery’s latest exhibition, curled up on a buddabag in the lasers-though-bubbles installation.

Three lasers shining through bubbles and onto the walls, activating ambient sounds. Hypnotic...

Pretty science!

I conclude that it is impossible for Charlie to be in the vicinity of any shiny object without trying to take it apart to see how it works. Especially if it involves lasers. I fear for his safety at Burning Man: never mind the dust storms, extreme temperatures and danger of dehydration, I’m much more worried about him being chased by angry artists after trying to dismantle their installations 😐

Later we ended up at the Tea Garden, a well hidden and deliciously laid-back place where you can order strange tea* and play chess while Dublin’s usual Friday night shenanigans goes on all around you. I approve.

* Being somewhat unsure what I was doing, I opted for ‘Precious Eyebrow’ Chinese tea, for the eyebrow points. It was very good.

I think particularly of your poor beleaguered DiscMan.

    • Entirely different; that was taking it apart to see why it *didn’t* work πŸ˜›

  2. Ah… now I understand completely πŸ˜‰
