Everything can be improved
26 January, 2011For some people, hacking is about taking things apart. For others, it’s about putting them back together better. 27c3 has plenty of both.
- Best talk of the conference: not actually a talk at all. On IRC and piano and some old violin, three guys performed a heartfelt lament on the state of copyright law and the restrictions it places on creating new works.
- Weirdest talk of the conference: this lightening talk, which I could not make head or tail of. He has keys, though.
- Talk causing the most people to wince: Lepht Anonym on biohacking. Not for the squeamish. Oh Lepht, may everything heal 😮
- Award for Most Unlikely Thing Printed: Jeff‘s printer now prints in wax instead of ink, so he can create PCBs ready for etching.
Jeff is Charlie’s conferencefriend, so we went for dinner with him and his posse. Smart bunch, fun evening 🙂
