The latest Experimental Cooking subject is quinoa (pronounced ‘KEEN-wa’). It’s a seed, and you soak it a bit, wash it and cook it like rice. The result is an inoffensive, rather boring heap of yellow stuff.



The problem is, I have no idea what to make with it. When I consulted the web, I found a great many pages telling me how quinoa is Made Of Awesome and we should all be eating it, but no actual recipes apart from salad. A little research reveals that quinoa is Inca food and is still eaten in the Andes. Ok, what do they eat it with?

“Llamas and guinea pigs.”

That is not helpful.
